Metroscapes LLC is an Illinois limited liability company whose principals are Mark R. Anderson, Peter Connolly and Dennis Hesse. While Metroscapes is a relatively young entity, its principals have considerable experience in real estate development and management, as more fully described in their respective biographies.
In recent years, the principals have completed several major projects. In Arlington Heights, Mark Anderson and his Banbury Properties completed the development of the Metropolis complex, which includes the 330 seat Metropolis Performing Arts Centre, the 3000 square foot Metropolis Ballroom and 30,000 square feet of retail space incorporating Carlos & Carlos restaurant, Two Brothers Butcher Shoppe, Urban Harvest gourmet grocer and The People's Bank. In addition, Metropolis houses 40,000 square feet of Class A retail space which houses major tenants such as the North American headquarters of InBev and the Metropolis School of Performing Arts. Adjacent to the development are the Metropolis Lofts, a sixty-three unit condominium project.
Also in Arlington Heights, Anderson, through Village Green, LLC in which he is a member, completed development of the landmark Vail Avenue Residences and the Wing Street Residences at Village Green. Combined, these two projects include over 140 high-end residential units and 45,000 feet of retail space. Merchants located in these retail spaces include Peggy Kinnane's Irish Pub and Restaurant, The Pineapple Shoppe, Blockbuster Video, Washington Mutual Financial Services and the Tuscan Market Wine and Gourmet Food store.
In Roscoe, Illinois, Dennis Hesse has completed construction on 128 upscale apartment units in his Gardens on Prairie Rose development, as well as the Promontory Ridge, a development of 96 single family homes.
